The "uniSTER8z" control panel is a state-of-the-art microprocessor-based central unit designed for operation in systems for the detection (detection and measurement of concentrations) of explosive and toxic gases. It is an element of the Active Gas Alarm system for active protection of various facilities against gas and vapour explosions, enabling gas detection, signalling and alarming as well as control of gas shut-off valves. The "uniSTER8z " alarm control panel is designed for cooperation (power supply and control) with detectors with a supply voltage of 12V and maximum current consumption of 250mA. Configurable (software configurable) inputs, relay and voltage outputs enable implementation of any control, signalling and alarm functions. The control unit may cooperate with ventilation control systems, optical and acoustic signalling devices, shut-off valves (electro-valves), industrial controllers and other automatics systems. The "uniSTER8z" control panel is designed for operation outside explosion hazard zones. One to eight detectors can be connected to the control panel. Power supply for detectors 12V, protected with polymer fuses. Power supply for the control unit - mains voltage 230V AC. Power supply back-up - internal battery 12V/2,2Ah, time up to 1h.
Depending on the version, it can have different types of inputs :
- current - two-way 4/8/12 mA
- voltage - 12 V NO or NC type, two inputs for one detector signalling exceeding alarm thresholds Al1 and Al2.
- Digital - RS485 connection, Modbus RTU protocol, detectors with addresses 1-8.
Outputs - any function performed, programmed with the PAGster control program:
Types of outputs:
- relay - 6 relays, with NO/NC contacts, with programmable functions
- voltage 12 V OC-NO type), three outputs with programmable functions
- impulse - 12 V, high current, for controlling the coils of shut-off valves, with programmable functions
- digital - RS485 interface, Modbus RTU protocol
Optical and acoustic signalling of exceeding alarm thresholds Al1 and Al2, optical signalling of mains and battery power supply, alarm memory, failures (control panel versions with current and RS485 inputs) and output control.
ABS plastic casing, cable entries (glands) - 9 x PG11.

- uniSTER8z /D/RS-WY - 8-detector control panel with NC or NO detection inputs (A1/A2 inputs) and RS485 output (Modbus RTU protocol).
- uniSTER8z /S - 8-detector control panel with 4/8/12mA current inputs and line monitoring.
- uniSTER8z /S/RS-WY - 8-detector control panel with 4/8/12mA current inputs, line control and RS485 output (Modbus RTU protocol)
- uniSTER8z /RS485 - 8-detector control panel with RS485 input (Modbus RTU protocol).
