The "PAG8" Facility Module is a state-of-the-art microprocessor-based central unit designed for use in systems for the detection (detection and measurement of concentrations) of explosive and toxic gases. It is an element of the Industrial Gas Alarm system for active protection of various objects against gas and vapour explosions, enabling gas detection, signalling and alarming as well as control of gas shut-off valves. The "PAG8" Object Module is designed for cooperation (power supply and control) with detectors with a supply voltage of 12V and a maximum current consumption of 250mA. Configurable (software) inputs, relay and voltage outputs enable the realisation of any control, signalling and alarm functions. The control unit can cooperate with ventilation control systems, optical and acoustic signalling devices, shut-off valves (solenoid valves), industrial controllers and other automation systems. The PAG8 is designed for operation outside potentially explosive atmospheres. Between one and eight detectors can be connected to the control unit. Power supply for detectors 12V, protected by polymer fuses. Power supply for the control unit - mains voltage ~230V. Power supply back-up - internal battery 12V/2.2Ah, time up to 1h.
Depending on the version, it can have different types of inputs:
- current : continuous (4-20mA), or two-threshold 4/8/1mA with line control (option -three-threshold 4/8/12/16mA without line control)
- digital - connection RS485, protocol Modbus-RTU, detectors with addresses 1-8
Outputs - any function performed, programmed using the PAGster control program.
Types of outputs:
- relay - 6 relays, with NO/NC contacts, with programmable functions
- voltages 12V, OC-NO type), three outputs with programmable functions
- impulse 12V, high-current, for control of shut-off valve coils, with programmable functions
- digital - connection RS485, protocol Modbus RTU - (option, not valid for version with RS485 input)
Optical and acoustic signalling of exceeding alarm thresholds I, II, III (or line control), optical signalling of mains and battery power supply, alarm memory, failure of detectors connected to the control unit (applies to control unit with RS-485 input) and output control. Display of the measurement result (LCD display) - optional. ABS plastic housing, cable entries (cable glands) - 9 x PG11.

- PAG8 /S - eight-channel control panel with 4-20mA (or 4/8/12mA) current inputs, line control
- PAG8 /S/P - eight channel control unit with 4-20mA (or 4/8/12mA) current inputs, line control, measurement results display (LCD)
- PAG8 /S/RS-WY - eight channel control unit with 4-20mA (or 4/8/12mA) current inputs, line control and RS485 output (Modbus RTU protocol)
- PAG8 /S/P/RS-WY - eight channel control unit with 4-20mA (or 4/8/12mA) current inputs, line control, display of measurement results (LCD display), RS485 output (Modbus RTU protocol)
- PAG8 /RS485 - eight-channel control unit with RS485 input (Modbus RTU protocol)
- PAG8 /P/RS485 - 8-channel control unit with RS485 input (Modbus RTU protocol), display of measurement results (LCD display)
