modularPAG

Skalowalna jednostka centralna

The modularPAG scalable central unit (control panel) is a stationary device designed to control the status of gas sensors, visualise these statuses and autonomously control external devices. External devices can include e.g. optical alarms, sounders, control valves, fans etc. The modularPAG® unit should be used wherever there is a need to actively protect life and property from the effects of emergency gas leaks. The modularPAG® scalable central unit is designed and manufactured as a modular construction. Thanks to its modular design, the size of the unit (number of control channels to be operated) can be naturally adapted to the specific requirements of the customer. Regardless of this, the installed and operated unit can be easily expanded to meet any growing needs.

The modularPAG® control panel consists of the following modules:

  • Main processor and SVGA display module
  • RS485 digital input module
  • Relay module
  • Buffer power supply
  • Battery back-up

The main processor module is the overarching component of the system and is used to supervise the operation of the entire unit. It contains the correct configuration due to the controlled object. This module also enables communication with a PC for programming the device and for external global visualisation with the PAG®view software. The standard equipment of this module is the support of a monitor in the SVGA 1280x1024 standard.
The RS485 digital input module is a hub for sensor networks based on the RS485 standard and communicating via the Modbus RTU protocol.
The relay module allows the connection of controlled external devices. Outside the module there are NO/NC type contacts with 3A/250V load capacity.
The buffer power supply is the main element supplying the modularPAG® system. It allows efficient management of energy resources, even in the event of a mains power failure. Its sophisticated automation (also with regard to ambient temperature conditions) ensures correct maintenance of the emergency battery.
The battery backup works together with the buffer power supply discussed above. It is a store of sufficient energy for system operation and emergency shutdown of the gas main valve in the event of a power cut from the 230 V mains.
The type and number of modules used is determined by the sensors used, their number, the number of external signalling devices or other devices. Regardless of the flexibility of this design, there are also standard defined sizes of control panels, i.e. modularPAG®30, modularPAG®60, modularPAG®90.
Modules are placed in ABS plastic housings.
Control panels are mounted in standard metal installation cabinets.
For standard panels, cabinets with the following dimensions are used: 600mm x 600mm x 200mm. For units with larger internal enclosures, installation cabinets with dimensions of: 600mm x 1000mm x 250mm or larger.
Protection class IP20 only for closed cabinet with monitor and all glands choked.
